What do young people really understand about environmental issues like the circular plastic economy and how can we amplify their voice and actions to give them genuine environmental agency?

How do young people engage with single use plastics?

We know a lot about how adults interact and engage with single use plastics but not a great deal about how children and young people do this.

This project aims to find out!

Engaging Young People in the Plastics Circular Economy

Researchers  and academics from the University of Hull work with young people to explore how they and their communities engage with single use plastics.

A Citizen Inquiry Approach

We work with young people to support them to create their own research tools for answering their own questions about the use of plastics in their locality.

They then carry out investigations using the tools they have created.
